BlogMix/Cinco Collabo: ¿Zurdo?

Top 5 Favorite Left-Handers

5) Link from The Legend of Zelda - Being a gamer and a dork, this was something I noticed a long time ago. Link's left-handedness probably explains why he wears boots. Sure, he can save Zelda, Hyrule, and be the Hero of Time, but he probably has issues tying shoes.

4) Ken Griffey Jr. - Junior's fallen on hard times since leaving Seattle, but back in the day he was loads of fun to watch play. Well, when he was healthy that is. His swing was a thing of greatness. Silky smooth and extremely fluid. I can say I did get to see that swing in person. Summer '99 in Minneapolis - Mariners v. Twins. Only dowside was that it was "Turn Forward The Clock" Night in the Triple H Metrodome, so the Mariners had on some type of asstastic uniforms. Definitely took away from the majesty of the swing.

3) Dan Aykroyd - Co-founder of the House of Blues. Writer. Director. Saturday Night Live alumn. All that's fine and dandy, but to me, Mr. Akroyd will always be Dr. Raymond Stanz. The heart of the Ghostbusters and probably the reason I hold that franchise so near and dear to my heart.

2) Eminem - Em gets a high ranking not so much because he's a lefty but moreso because I relate to him in more way than just the lefty part. First off, I think he's brilliant yet extremely simple at the same time. Those two things usually don't go together. Secondly, I think he suffers from the same "controlled schizophrenia" that I "suffer" from. I really get a kick out of the way Eminem will tell a story involving Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers like he's not even around. Why? Because many times I'll tell a story involving T_Piddy/Terence the exact same way. And I've definitely listened to "When I'm Gone" about 80,000 times already. Mainly because its another example of Em's excellent ability to storytell, but also because its pretty much the beginning of the end of Slim Shady. What does that have to do with me?

Anyone else notice that since I've changed format of EAP BlogMix, there's been very little in the way of sightings, mentions, or whispers of Piddy (outside of BlogBrawl & the Survivor Series recap, in which it was necessary to keep the character around)? Yeah, that was one coincidence I related to big time. "Death" to an alter-ego is major. Whether its for peace of mind, simplicity, because you're tired of fighting with them, or just because its time to grow up, its not something you just bypass easily.

1) Ned Flanders - I could have easily said Matt Groening since he's a lefty also and thus made the majority of the Simpsons characters lefties, but Ned's so much cooler. In a dorky uber-Christian type way. I think Ned gets the top spot just for trying to open that left handed store on one episode. However I have to dock Ned some points for selling left-handed scissors. Those things are a waste of metal. They couldn't cut through water.

Top 5 Sexual Fantasies (NSFW yet Clean)

Yeah, I stole one of Libby's suggestions. And as graphic and descriptive as I could have made this, I tried to keep it PG-13 (for the most part). I want you guys to respect me a little bit still. I also limited this list to celebrities. The internet is not the place for me to be describing what I want to do to people I know personally. Wanting to bone a former boss? Scandalous. Wanting to bone a celebrity, acceptable.

5) Dominique Moceanu - there's no real good pictures of her now that don't really fall into the category of kiddie porn, so this'll have to do. She's still really pretty. I like my girls little, and they don't really don't come much smaller than her. Plus she's a gymnast. *winkwink* She was pretty much the only reason I watched gymnastics during the '96 Olympics. And before someone goes, "ewww..." I was 13 at the time. Dominque was 14.

4) WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus - I'm sure the 6 time WWE Women's Champ knows a trick or two. She could pin me and I promise you wouldn't kick out. Or maybe even better, she'd lock me into a sleeper hold. Maybe it'd look bad on my part if I passed out in her boussom, but can you really think of a better way to go out?

3) Selma Hayek - If I find a spanish girl, I want her to look like Selma Hayek. Pretty face, good boobs, great lips, brunette, total package. To be honest, I don't really have a fantasy in mind when it comes to Selma. We could be playing tiddlywinks, we could be tittyfucking, as long as I hear "Ey Papi..." I'm good.

And yes I said that. And I'm not sorry either.

2) Shakira - Once again with the little girls. 4'11'' she is. Anyways, the only reason she's ranked higher than Selma is because of those hips. Mmm...mmm...good. Just watching that thing is hypnotic in itself. My fantasy involves her bellydancing and lots of baby oil. And to quote from a conversation I've had many times, "I just want to be inside her. I don't care how, I don't care where. I just wanna say I was in there. My big toe in her ear? Good enough for me, I'm spent."

1) Vida Guerra - Surprise entry at #1. Whereas Shakira has the great hips, Vida has the ass. My fantasy with her isn't really sexual at all. I just want to take a nap on her ass. Just to lay my head on her asscheeks. Nothing more, nothing less. That thing looks like it sleeps great.

Top 10 Movie Trilogies

(Separate list inside each entry ranking the movies of said trilogy, worst to first)

10) Terminator (Rise of the Machines, Terminator, T2: Judgment Day)
9) Naked Gun (33 1/3: Final Insult, 2 1/2: Smell of Fear, Naked Gun)
8) Hannibal Lecter (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal)
7) Die Hard (Die Hard with a Vengenance, Die Hard 2, Die Hard)
6) Friday (Next Friday, Friday After Next, Friday)
5) Evil Dead (Evil Dead 2, Evil Dead, Army of Darkness)
4) Back to the Future (BttF III, BttF, BttF II)
3) Indiana Jones (The Last Crusade, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom)
2) The Godfather (The Godfather III, The Godfather II, The Godfather)
1) The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King)

Honorable Mention: (Series listed in chronological order)
The Living Dead (Night Of..., Day of..., Dawn of...)
American Pie (American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding)*
Star Wars Original Trilogy (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi)**
The Matrix (Matrix, Reloaded, Revolutions)***

*Damn straight to dvd 4th movie. On the bright side, it looks kinda funny.
**There's 6 movies in this series. If I would have counted this, I'd have to throw in the Nightmare on Elm Street series too
***Come on now. This trilogy wasn't as bad as people wanted it to be. I think everyone was so overhyped from the first one, they expected too much out of the 2 sequels

2K5: A Look Back

Before I start, I found the format over at Confessions of a Dumb, White Guy. I thought it would slide right into Cinco de Piddy's format, so I yanked it. But like the back of the ninja turtle boxes said, "One good turn deserves another." After you get done here, swing by his crib and check it out. If you don't do anything else, go check out Hasslehoff week. Classic blogging there.

1. What did you do in 2005 that you hadn't done before? Go Salsa Dancing. Hot damn that was fun. And extremely hard.
2. Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope. No new crumbsnatchers anywhere.
3. Did anyone close to you die? Thankfully no.
4. Did you travel? Where did you go? Best holiday memory? Yes. Clemson, Atlanta, Charlotte, New York City, Brooklyn, & Cleveland. Best holiday memory would probably have to be the 4th of July BBQ w/ my family in NY. That was crazy fun. Trying to have coherent conversation w/ family who hasn't seen you since you were 2 while you're downing Coronas is always an interesting experience.
5. Best thing you bought? Christmas presents for kids @ Texas Children's Hospital. 2005 doesn't really have one thing I bought that jumps out at me, so that'll do.
6. Where did most of your money go? Surprisingly, savings, stocks, & mutual funds. Videogames are probably coming in a close second though.
7. What do you wish you had done more of? Exercising.
8. What do you wish you had done less of? There's probably about 10 or so trips to the strip club that I could have done without.
9. What kept you sane? Watching WWE RAW. Wrestling is my escape.
10. What drove you mad? Clemson losing to Miami by 3 in 3OT. To Boston College by 6 in OT. To Wake Forest by 4. To Georgia Tech by 1.
11. What made you celebrate? University of South Carolina 9, Clemson 13
12. What made you sad? Eddie Guerrero passing away. Viva la Raza...
13. How was your birthday this year? Freakin' awesome. Eric and I had people believing I was the CWF World Heavyweight Champion and I was fighting a guy named Crysis the next day at the Anderson Civic Center. I got free kisses and drinks bought for me. I signed an autograph. I slapped a bride on the ass in front of her groom then high fived the guy. The things people let you get away with when you carry around a 10 lb big gold belt.
14. What political issue stirred you the most this year? This pointless war we're fighting.
15. Were you in love in 2005? With someone other than myself? I'd say no. This was a year I pretty much sat out of the game of love. Either by force (Jan-June) or by choice (Sept-now).
16. What would you like to have in 2006 that you didn't have this year? Man, that's a big question. I'll have to come back to that one in a few days...
17. What date from 2005 will be etched in your memory and why? June 16, 2005. The day the shackles fell off my wrist, I stepped out of the darkness, and my soul re-entered my body. I've never been so happy to quit a job before in my life.
18. What song will remind you of 2005? Album? 1st Half of 2005: Gwen Stefani "Hollaback Girl," 2nd Half of 2005: James Blunt "You're Beautiful." Album: Mike Jones "Who Is Mike Jones?"
19. Compared to this time last year are you happier? Read this and you tell me. I'd say most definitely.
20. Biggest achievement this year? Destroying the Series 7. Being heavily considered for a $52k a year promotion. Getting a pretty decent investment portfolio started. Leaving Cleveland w/ the 2nd highest grade in the Casualty class. Things like that remind me that when I really want to be, I'm am that damn good.
21. Biggest disappointment this year? Not having my plans work out exactly the way I wanted them to around Sept/October. But hey, that's life.
22. What is the one thing that would have made you more satisfied? Being in Greenville, SC. But ya know, since I've been working in Florence, this question is the first time I've really thought about me not living in Greenville in about 3 weeks. It's becoming a non-factor.
23. Best new person you met this year? Believe it or not, I don't think I've met anyone new this year that I still keep up with and/or made an impact on my life. With that being said, the girl at some house party who let me punch her in the face gets my nod.
24. A valuable life lesson you learnt this year? Growing up is both mandatory and optional at the same time. There are many things that are expected of you as an adult, but there's not anything you HAVE to do. And if you play your cards correctly, when the time comes to let go of childhood for good, you'll be ready and you won't look back...

"That's Slim Shady. Yeah baby, Slim Shady's crazy. Shady made me, but tonight Shady's rock-a-bye baby..." - Eminem

Top 5 Things To Do In Cleveland (In December)

Now I know I've been hard on this shithole since I've been here. But truth be told, I think it would actually be a pretty cool place to go to during July, both literally and figuratively. (It's almost the complete opposite of my love for Minneapolis. I love the Twin Cities, but I'm sure if I ever went in the winter, that wouldn't be the case.) Right now its so fucking cold my balls are shivering. But evenso, there's still a few cool things to do.

5) Attend a Cavaliers game. I'd say a Browns game, but let's be honest - if you don't live in Cleveland who would really want to sit outside in 5 degree weather to watch these guys play? The Cavs aren't much better, but basketball is played indoors.

4) Hit up The Flats or The Warehouse district. You wanna drink, this is where you go. A very nice variety of bars and nightclubs. Nothing truly outrageous or off the wall, but a good solid selection.

3) Check out the Cleveland Orchestra. They're really good and unfortunately I won't get to see them on this trip. I might be able to squeeze them in, but I might wind up missing out. If I don't that kinda sucks, but thankfully, I've been shined down from the heavens above and I'm allowed to come back to this lovely, lovely, lovely city in January. I can't wait.

2) Visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame - I know, I know. It's in Canton. But its 50 mins away. Close enough. Seeing as how this one is south of Cleveland (thus warmer), I'm gonna save this one for the return trip to Cleveland. It'll be the anchor of my trip for the 2nd go around.

1) Visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum - Easily the best $18 I've spent in a looooong time. If you a music fan you will love this place. If you are a music fiend like I am, you'll want to stay and never leave. If you go be sure you get there early. I was there for 5 hours and I feel like I still didn't get to absorb it all in as much as I wanted to. When you're there, be sure to grab the brochure for "500 songs that shaped rock & roll" - aka, "500 songs you need to download once you get home."

Top 5 Video Game Babes

It's been a while since I've had a dork post. Doesn't really any dorkier than this.

5) The Dark Queen (Battletoads, Battletoads & Double Dragon)

Number of gamers who actually managed to go toe-to-toe w/ the Dark Queen: 8. While being an Elvira look-alike, she managed to come up with some of the most punishing levels in the history of gaming. Speeder-Bikes anyone?

4) Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury 2, King of Fighters, Capcom v. SNK)

Sure, the girls in Tecmo's Dead or Alive series have their own Beach Volleyball game, but Mai's been jumping around w/ her tits hanging out since the 16-bit days. She kicked high first.

3) Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero)

Agent Dark managed to successfully steal 007's thunder. Goldeneye may have had the Bond license, but it's sequel [the original] Perfect Dark became an instant classic the second it was released. Thankfully for her follow up she dolled up a bit and dropped the butch lesbian look.

2) Chun-Li (Street Fighter II, Marvel v. Capcom)

The most recognizable Street Fighter character behind Ryu, Chun-Li has definitely earned her spot in this list. Such a fan favorite, Capcom had to rework the original Street Fighter III storyline after fans demanded that she be placed into the game (SFIII doesn't have her as a character, SFIII: Second Impact rectified that). Only one other digital damsel ranks higher than her in the videogame arena...

1) Princess (Peach) Toadstool (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World)

Her royal highness herself. Could there be any other choice?

Honorable Mention

Emi (Dance Dance Revolution)

Everyone loves dropping the bomb with Emi. I think its because of the big marshmallow hat.

Ulala (Space Channel 5)

Space Channel Five sucked. Space Channel Five 2 sucked. But ya know, Ulala was cute. And both of those games had Michael Jackson in it. Good enough for me.

Krystal (Star Fox Adventures)

From my time spend cruising videogame message boards, I think that if you constructed a Venn Diagram that consisted of Furries and Videogame players, those two circles would overlap waaaaaay more than they should.

I'm About To Switch To Google

Image once again from Yahoo!

Man.

What the hell Yahoo!

I'm not even really sure who this guy is.

I know someone from Yahoo! reads this blog. Or else you guys wouldn't mock me.

Is it really that hard to add me to that shot? Come on. I'll send you a picture if necessary.

No list. I'm too upset.
